California Proposition 65 Warning

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings to consumers if their products may expose them to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

This law applies to any company doing business in California and covers hundreds of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals found in common consumer goods, materials, and environments—including vehicles, buildings, household items, and outdoor equipment.

Why Do We Post This Warning?

While the presence of a chemical on the Prop 65 list does not automatically mean a product is unsafe, California law requires that we provide this warning if even trace amounts may be present.

Some materials used in the construction of our campers and accessories—such as adhesives, paints, seals, or hardware finishes—may contain small amounts of chemicals listed under Prop 65, including:

• Toluene

• Formaldehyde

• Lead and lead compounds

• Phthalates (used in some plastics or vinyl)

These materials are commonly used in durable outdoor products and are well within industry safety standards. However, to remain compliant with California regulations, we must provide the following warning:
