Oru Designs USA – December 29th Update

Following our December 22 update outlining confirmed decisions and priorities, we want to share progress made during the past week and provide visibility into how engineering validation, production planning, and service coordination are advancing as we move toward execution.

This update focuses on tangible progress since last week and includes a visual walkthrough of the current V3 prototype as part of our ongoing validation process.

Engineering Validation Progress

Engineering validation of the reinforced, hingeless V3 Hard Wall System continues to move forward. The focus remains on confirming durability, structural integrity, and repeatable performance across the full wall assembly in real-world conditions.

Current validation efforts include:

  • Verification of the integrated hard panel and fabric wall structure
  • Evaluation of insulated panel wrapping and attachment methods
  • Fitment and function checks across the full wall assembly, including corner sections and window configurations
  • Review of assembly processes to ensure consistency and quality in production

This validation phase is intentionally being completed prior to full production rollout to ensure owners are not asked to make decisions without sufficient information.

V3 Hard Wall System – Prototype Walkthrough

As part of this progress update, we are sharing a walkthrough video of the current V3 Hard Wall System prototype.

This video is intended to provide a visual overview of the design concepts described in our December 22 update, including:

  • Hingeless wall construction using rigid structural panels
  • Insulated panel integration within a fabric-based wall assembly
  • Corner window sections with integrated screens
  • Newly added long-wall window configuration featuring a zip-down hard panel that converts to a screened opening for additional airflow

The prototype shown in this video reflects a unit currently undergoing engineering validation. Final materials, finishes, colors, and production details may vary as testing continues and validation milestones are completed.

Production Sequencing and Planning

In parallel with engineering validation, production planning for V3-equipped campers continues.

Production sequencing is being structured to:

  • Transition all new camper builds to the V3 wall system
  • Integrate qualifying warranty-related V3 upgrades into the production and service workflow
  • Maintain consistent quality control as production volume increases

Rather than sequencing builds solely by order date, production planning is being structured to balance new builds, upgrade work, and quality oversight. This approach is intended to avoid rushed output and ensure consistent results as V3 production ramps.

Service and Installation Planning Framework

Planning for V3 upgrade installations continues alongside production sequencing.

Current focus areas include:

  • Defining standardized installation procedures for the V3 wall system
  • Establishing quality-control checkpoints for replacement and upgrade installations
  • Coordinating service workflows to support both new builds and qualifying warranty-related replacements

Details regarding installation logistics, scheduling, and service options will be communicated directly to affected customers once this framework is finalized. Additional information will be shared publicly as planning moves into execution.

Support Backlog Progress

The support team continues to work through a significant backlog of calls and emails generated during the reinforcement transition period.

Progress over the past week includes:

  • Resolution of older inquiries
  • Improved internal coordination between operations and support
  • Continued stabilization of communication workflows

All inquiries continue to be addressed in the order received to ensure accuracy and fairness. Support remains available at support@orudesignsusa.com.

Looking Ahead to January

As we move into January, upcoming updates will focus on:

  • Confirmation of engineering validation milestones
  • V3 production start timing once validation concludes
  • Next steps in service and installation coordination
  • Outreach to customers as scheduling workflows open

We will continue sharing updates as milestones are reached and decisions are finalized.

Moving Forward

This past week reflects continued forward movement across engineering validation, production planning, service coordination, and support stabilization. While the reinforcement phase remains active, the focus is increasingly shifting from planning to execution.

We appreciate the continued patience and engagement of our customers and community as we move through this phase and into the next stage of production and service delivery.
